Pumpkin Picking Near Kingston: 13 Places to Visit This Autumn

Looking for somewhere to pick a pumpkin this October?

Whether you want to actually head into a pumpkin field with a wheelbarrow, find somewhere a little closer to home, or make a full day of it with Halloween activities thrown in, there are plenty of options within an easy-ish drive of Kingston.

We’ve rounded up 13 pumpkin patches, pumpkin-picking farms and pumpkin-filled days out around south-west London and Surrey, including a few that are a little further afield but are worth knowing about.

And yes, we’ve included Tulleys. Because if enough Kingston parents tell us it’s worth the drive, we’re listening. 🎃

Dates, prices and availability can change, so check the official website before you set off. Pumpkin prices are generally extra unless stated otherwise.

🎃Garsons – Esher

Approx. 6 miles from Kingston

📅 3–31 October 2026

If you’re looking for something close to Kingston, Garsons’ Pumpkin Parade is an obvious place to start.

This year’s theme is circus-inspired, with colourful decorations, interactive carnival-style games and plenty of photo opportunities — alongside thousands of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes to choose from. Despite the theme, Garsons specifically notes that there aren’t circus acts or performances.

Tickets are limited and need to be booked online in advance. Pumpkin entry is separate from the pumpkin you take home.

Good to know: Garsons’ PYO farm is a proper working farm, so this is one for wellies and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy.

🎟️ Booking: Advance booking required
💷 Price: Check current ticket price when booking; pumpkins are extra
🎃 Type: Pumpkin picking + themed experience

New for 2026, Hobbledown has turned its front lawn into a huge “Lawn of Orange”, filled with thousands of pumpkins, squashes and gourds.

You can choose your own pumpkin to take home, but this is much more than a pumpkin patch. Your day ticket also gives you access to the whole Hobbledown experience, including indoor and outdoor play, the animals, Imaginarium, adventure areas and daily animal talks.

During October half term there is also a Trick or Treat Trail, with Hobbledown characters and sweet treats.

💷 Price: Online admission from £16.50 per person; pumpkins are extra
🎟️ Booking: Book online in advance
🎃 Type: Pumpkin picking + full farm/adventure day out

🎃 Crockford Bridge Farm – Addlestone/Weybridge

Approx. 9 miles from Kingston

📅 Pumpkin picking: from 3 October 2026
📅 Wonderland Pumpkin Festival: 24–31 October 2026

Crockford Bridge gives you a couple of different ways to do pumpkins.

For the traditional experience, you can pick pumpkins directly from the growing fields from 4 October. Entry is £6.50 + booking fee and your pumpkin is paid for separately when you leave. There are photo opportunities and quirky displays in the fields, too.

Then, during half term, there’s the Wonderland Pumpkin Festival — a separate immersive experience with actors, dancers and entertainers leading families through a Wonderland adventure before finishing at a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

💷 Price: PYO £6.50 + booking fee; pumpkins extra. Pumpkin Festival £14 + booking fee, with early-bird tickets from £12

🎃 Mayfield Lavender – Epsom/Banstead

Approx. 9 miles from Kingston

📅 3–31 October 2026

Mayfield is doing things a little differently this year with Malice Returns: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

It’s an immersive Halloween experience set around Mayfield’s Secret Lavender Garden, with a magical storyline, characters, interactive elements and — importantly — pumpkins.

It’s more of a themed Halloween adventure with pumpkins incorporated into the experience than a traditional muddy PYO farm, so this is one for families who want the experience as much as the pumpkin.

🎃 Be Spooky Halloween Fun Fest – Richmond

Approx. 5 miles from Kingston

📅 Saturday 24 October 2026, 10am–4pm

This is the little local one to know about.

Be Spooky is taking place at Duke Street Church in Richmond and includes choosing and carving your own pumpkin, plus face painting, spooky fairground games and a Halloween photo booth.

It’s much smaller than the big pumpkin farms, which may actually make it appealing for families who don’t fancy a full day out.

Important: this event is currently sold out, but there is a waiting list. So if you’re hoping to go, it’s worth joining that rather than writing it off completely.

💷 Price: Check the current Eventbrite listing
🎟️ Booking: Advance booking; currently sold out with waiting list
🎃 Type: Small local pumpkin/carving event

🎃 Bocketts Farm Park – Fetcham

Approx. 11 miles from Kingston

📅 17 October–1 November 2026

This one isn’t traditional pumpkin picking — there isn’t a pumpkin field where you pick your own — but it’s close enough to Kingston and pumpkin-focused enough that we think it’s worth including.

Bocketts’ Little Pumpkins Week runs 17–23 October, followed by Wizards & Witches Week from 24 October–1 November.

Expect a Pumpkin Village, Halloween crafts, spooky stamp trails, discos, marshmallow toasting, farm animals, indoor and outdoor play, tractor rides, pony rides and pig racing.

💷 Price: Standard farm admission; some activities cost extra
🎟️ Booking: Advance booking recommended

🎃 Tulleys Pumpkin Festival – Turners Hill

Approx. 27 miles from Kingston

📅 September–1 November 2026

Yes, it’s further away. But we’ve kept it in because Kingston parents repeatedly recommend Tulleys, and it’s the sort of place families may happily travel further for once a year.

And it is BIG.

Tulleys has 1.5 million pumpkins and gourds, pumpkin fields, the new Pumpkin Valley for 2026, street theatre, roaming musicians, food and drink, a vintage carousel and a 33m observation wheel.

This is less “pop to a local farm and grab a pumpkin” and more make a day of it.

💷 Price: Tickets vary by date and experience; check current booking page
🎟️ Booking: Advance booking recommended
🎃 Type: Huge PYO pumpkin festival / full day out

Merrist Wood College

🎃 So, which one is for you?

Want something really close to Kingston?
Start with Garsons, Hobbledown Epsom or Be Spooky in Richmond.

Want actual pumpkin picking in a field?
Try Garsons, Crockford Bridge, Hobbledown Heath, Priory Farm, Secretts, The Fruit Fields, Merrist Wood or Tulleys.

Want a full day out rather than just picking a pumpkin?
Hobbledown Epsom, Hobbledown Heath, Bocketts or Tulleys all give you plenty to do beyond the pumpkin itself.

Want something a little different?
Mayfield’s immersive Halloween experience or the small Be Spooky event in Richmond are worth a look.

And if you’re heading out with toddlers or preschoolers, don’t forget the golden rule of pumpkin picking: wear the wellies, bring a spare pair of trousers, and don’t let the children choose the biggest pumpkin in the field unless you’re prepared to carry it. 😂

We’ve done the research, but dates, prices, availability and individual activities can change. Always check the venue’s official website before travelling.
